Introduction

The Poljkadot.js Wallet is a third-party wallet solution for the Polkadot ecosystem that includes support for POLYX on Polymesh.

Polymesh users can use the Polkadot.js Wallet on a desktop or smartphone to sync their wallet accounts, manage their POLYX tokens, and interact with Polymesh to perform actions such as token transfers and staking.

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up Polkadot.js to use Polymesh.

Create a new Polymesh account in Polkadot.js

Download the Polkadot.js wallet extension to your browser.
Create an account by following the onscreen instructions or this guide.
In the second step of the account creation, change the network to Polymesh (Polymesh Mainnet accounts begin with 2). Fill in the account name and password, then click on "Add the account with the generated seed".
Once your account is created, it will be shown as per the below screenshot.
The network setting can be changed anytime afterwards by clicking on the three dots then selecting Polymesh Network from the dropdown menu.
From now on can connect your newly created account to the Polymesh Portal by selecting and authorizing the Polkadot wallet.
