Introduction

The Polymesh Testnet has the same functionality as Polymesh Mainnet, but does not require any fees to use. Therefore it is a great way to test and explore the functionality of Polymesh.

How to onboard to Polymesh Testnet

• Download the Polymesh Wallet.
• Select "Testnet" and generate a new Polymesh key by following the steps in the wallet.
• Open the Polymesh Portal on Testnet and click on Connect Wallet Now.
• Select the Polymesh Wallet to connect to the portal.
  Note: You can enter a key manually by clicking on "Manually enter a wallet key". Manually entered keys that are not stored in the connected wallet allow view-only functionality. To fully utilize Polymesh, you need to connect a key stored in a supported wallet.
  
  
• Select the key you just generated from the drop-down, then click on Proceed.
  
• You will see a card at the top of the portal as per the screenshot below. Click on Verify Identity.
  
  
• Click on the MockId card to onboard to Polymesh Testnet.
  
  
  
  
• Follow the instructions on the screen to onboard with MockId. Once you finish the onboarding application, the portal will show the Pending status for the identity verification.
  
  
• The process with MockId should take a few minutes to complete. You will see the following card at the bottom of the portal indicating that the onboarding process has finished. You will also receive 100k POLYX to explore the functionality of Polymesh.
