Issue details
During onboarding to Polymesh, after you click on the link provided by email, on the onboarding page you may see an error as per the below:
If you open the Console logs (right click on the page and click on "Inspect", then click on the Console tab in Developer tools) you see that the CDD app returns a 401 HTTP error like in the screenshot below:
Possible solutions
The authentication process breaks due to one of the following reason:
- The link you received by email has expired. The expiry is set to be 24 hours. In this case you will need to generate a new link from the onboarding page by starting a new application from the Polymesh Onboarding Page.
- You have a VPN client installed which breaks the connection. Simply disable VPN or bypass https://onboarding.polymesh.network from the VPN tunnel.
- Antivirus software / Firewall settings: Please disable any scan on the connection to the domain https://onboarding.polymesh.network
- It is always a best practice to open a link in a different browser to rule out any browser-related issues.
